Studio Richter Mahr

Studio Richter Mahr is home to the collaborative creative projects of composer Max Richter and artist and filmmaker Yulia Mahr. These include a record label and film production house. The studio is also involved in managing live performance, recording, licensing and publishing. It is based at Quarry Barn in the Cotswolds.

The primary brand logo is drawn from the distinctive silhouette and minimal brutalist architecture of the studio building. It is drawn on a grid that references the barn’s own construction. Within this frame, a family of logos represents the studio’s varied activities and spirit of collaboration.

While each symbol is constructed on the same grid, the parts do not fit together neatly, reflecting the way people and projects share the same space, often overlapping and intersecting.
